St. Georges College has carved a niche for itself in the field of debating and has won a number of All-India Debates. Whenever St. George's College steps in other schools, there is always an aura that surrounds us, we speak with the hopes of not letting down a thousand people's expectations. Each year the school participants in a number of regional as well as national debates and the manorites raise the standard and set it for the future manorites to surpass. Speakers are nurtured and trained right from the Junior Classes to ensure that they turn out to be eloquent orators. An effective Debating Society and a Debating Club been constituted to tap the debating talents of every Manorite.

Every year, the school organizes the prestigious Bro. Bergin and Bro. Masterson All-India Inter School Debate. Schools from all over india are invited to present their views and compete against each other. These debates, held in the second half of the academic year, are eagerly anticipated.
