From Principal's Desk A very warm welcome to the updated version of the St. George's College website. You will note that several changes and innovations have been incorporated to amply portray the inherent character and values that St. George's College stands for. Over the years - 157 to be specific- St. George's College, Mussoorie has evolved into one of the most prestigious and much sought after educational institutions in the North of India. This is possible because of the concerted efforts and whole hearted commitment of the Management, Staff, students and parents of the school. We are equally proud and indebted for the contribution put in by our revered Alumni, students who have passed through the glorious portals of this esteemed institution. They have in their wake left indelible footprints in the sands of time for us to follow and emulate. We are more than indebted, are extremely grateful and remember most reverently the contribution of our founding Fathers & Brothers who dared to dream and toiled endlessly to bring into existence an institution of such high repute. We in St. George's College, Mussoorie, yearn and strive to continue building this legacy and bring to fruition what was envisaged for posterity. |

From Vice Principal's Desk Children, "You are the generation of hope." Here you are all in a nursery, where your hidden talents are being explored and tapped. When you leave the corridors of this institution, you leave with a good package of talents to enable you to stand on your own two feet, to meet the innumerable challenges that life has for you. You are aware that life today is very competitive and demanding, and unless & until you are fully geared up to meet these challenges, you may find yourself a misfit in the world today. Therefore my advice to all you children (past and present), is that you must make the most of all the opportunities that are available to you in this institution; the opportunities no doubt are endless. You can count yourselves lucky to be studying in such an institution, Thank God for this wonderful gift bestowed upon you. And for you children who possess an intense drive and ambition, I can say with conviction, that the world is not truly enough! At all times be alert, attentive and focused. Remember that though the road ahead is long and definitely steep, you will emerge as a winner! ‘A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.'

I wish to take this opportunity to thank all the parents for their valuable co-operation and suggestions from time to time. It is for the betterment of your children. It has always been our sincere endeavor here to make gentlemen out of you boys by taking special care of their overall development. We intend to harness their potential, to keep up the spirit and to uphold the traditional values of this institution. At the same time I would appreciate you instill in your child a sense of self-confidence in order to lead a disciplined life, to have a firm footing and to believe in what is right by defying the harsh realities of this world. I conclude with all good wishes and a sincere God Bless to you all and a prayer that 'God' may help & guide us always in our endeavor towards progress for the betterment of the children associated with this institution, under our care. |
