Leaders don't preach, they set example and leave behind an imprint....


The annual Investiture ceremony is a solemn occasion in which some twenty to twenty five boys, elected from class X, XI, XII would be standing on a stage and swearing upon their resolution, proudly taking the plege "I promise to maintain the high standards of the school, uphold its ideals and traditions, and perform faithfully the duties of my office." These are those individuals who are capable of taking the reins of the Democratic Government of India one day.


This group of people creates an impression of a mini-democratic government of St. George's College. This year, our mini-government comprises of 4 House Captains, 4 House Vice-Captains, 4 School Prefects, 9 Editorial Board Members, 2 Debating Society Leaders and 2 Multimedia Board.

Captains in co-operation with their Vice-Captains are given the charge of their house and ultimately one captain lifts the prestigious cock-house trophy. The seven prefects are responsible for the general discipline of the institution.

The Editorial Board Members are nominated for the distinct quality of writing - people who can prove that the pen is surely mightier than the sword. They work exceptionally hard to get the annual school magazine - 'The Manorite' out and also to bring out issues through the school newsletter - 'The Manor Times'.

The Debating Society Leaders are nominated for having the 'gift of the gab' - oraters who can balance the ifs and the buts.The Student Council at St. George's helps the management accomplish its day-to-day affairs and at the same time act as the voice the students.
